A teenage boy has been charged after a man was stabbed during a violent break-in at a home in Logan.
Three people broke into the property at Bahrs Scrub in the early hours of last Thursday.
Police allege a 49-year-old man was knifed in the stomach while confronting the trio.
The group then jumped into a stolen ute and crashed the vehicle into the home before speeding off from the scene.
The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.
Following investigations, police tracked down a 15-year-old boy who has now been charged with a string of offences – including enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of motor vehicle and assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed/in company.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in Beenleigh Children’s Court at a later date.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing, with police appealing for anyone with information, relevant CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time to come forward.
