A teenage boy has been left shaken after being attacked and robbed by two men at a park in Merrimac.

The 14-year-old, who reportedly has special needs, was approached by his attackers while at the Ghilgai Road Reserve just before 8pm last night.

Police say the men threatened him with a knife, demanded his personal belongings and hit him several times.

The boy gave his items up and fled the scene on foot

A QPS spokesperson says “initial investigations indicate he was in the company of three females when he was approached” with the three women also leaving the scene.

It’s understood they were not injured or robbed of any items.

His attackers left the scene on foot a short time later and remain on the run.
