The blaze erupted at the property on Stapylton Jacobs Well Road in Alberton around 11pm on Saturday.
At least ten fire crews were called to battle the inferno, which gutted the two-storey house before firies were able to bring it under control.
One person was treated at the scene by paramedics but did not need to be taken to hospital.
Queensland police have confirmed they are treating the fire as suspicious.
