Surfers Paradise unit block evacuated after filling with smoke

An apartment in Surfers Paradise has been evacuated due to mystery smoke filling the building.

Emergency Services were called to the property along Enderley Avenue, after the fire alarms went off around 2.45pm.

A QFES spokesperson confirmed they have firefighters on each level of the building investigating where the smoke may be coming from – as there’s currently no fire.

Four fire crews are on scene, while paramedics and police are on standby.

There are no patients who need to be assessed.
