Firefighters have battled a blaze at a local laundromat in Palm Beach.
Crews were called to the business along Fifth Avenue at around 1.15am and were able to extinguish it swiftly.
The business is situated above a unit block, with all residents having to be evacuated.
Firefighters stopped the blaze from spreading too far throughout the building and the structure managed to escape serious damage.
It’s unclear at this stage what sparked the fire, however police have confirmed it’s not being treated as suspicious.
Meantime, about two hours later fire crews were called to a car on fire in Southport.
The car went up in flames along the Olympic Court.
Police say there’s not any reports of it being stolen at this stage but that they are investigating.
