Gold Coasters have been given a first look at what a proposed indoor stadium at Southport could look like if given the go-ahead.
The proposed Gold Coast Arena would be built to house up to 12,000 people with the venue slated to host entertainment and sports events.
Carey Park has been slated for a state-of-the-art venue, with a pedestrian bridge connecting it to Broadwater Parklands.
The stadium is expected to host up to 80 major events each year and generate $1.5 billion in economic activity over the first 10 years of operation.
Up to 740 full-time jobs are expected to be created during operation.
The stadium could eventually play a key role in the 2032 Olympics.
Gold Coasters are now being urged to have their say with council launching a survey on the initial plans.
The survey is available at https://gchaveyoursay.com.au/arena until December 9.
