Six teenagers have been charged after allegedly taking a stolen car on a dangerous joyride spanning 80km.
The vehicle was allegedly taken from a Gold Coast home on Sunday night before driving dangerously up into Brisbane.
Witnesses reported seeing teens hanging out the windows of the vehicle, yelling at people to move as they nearly ran down pedestrians.
Police eventually stopped the car in Beenleigh, where the teens were taken into custody.
A 17-year-old Southport girl, a 16-year-old Arundel boy and a 17-year-old Nobby Beach girl were among those charged with multiple offences, including unauthorised use of a motor vehicle.
All six are due to appear in Beenleigh Children’s Court.
