LATEST @ March 25 | Six teenagers have now been hit with a string of charges following a wild stolen car chase across the Gold Coast and Logan.
The dramatic scenes unfolded around 12.30am Monday, when police began tracking a stolen Rav4 in Eagleby.
Officers managed to successfully deploy tyre spikes, forcing the vehicle to come to a stop near Fryar Road, where the teens abandoned the Rav4 before jumping into a stolen Skoda sedan.
The second stolen vehicle was tracked along the Pacific Motorway to the New South Wales border and through southern Gold Coast suburbs.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop near Christine Avenue in Burleigh Heads around 3am where the six teens were taken into custody.
Three police vehicles were damaged in the process of the pursuit, however thankfully no one was injured.
Police have confirmed the Toyota Rav4 was stolen from Surfers Paradise on March 23, while the Skoda sedan was stolen from Parkinson on March 19.
All six teens, aged between 13 and 16 have been charged with a number of offences and will front court over coming days.
