A major search is underway to find a driver that was involved in a hit and run incident on the Gold Coast that left a woman fighting for life.
A woman, aged in her 60’s, was found with serious injuries along Marine Parade in Southport around 10.45pm on Wednesday.
Paramedics treated her at the scene before she was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
It’s believed she was struck by an Audi, described as a late mode white sedan with a black roof, which was last seen heading north on Marine Parade around the same time.
Queensland Police are appealing for the driver, or anyone who may have information about the drivers whereabouts, to come forward. They would also like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from that vicinity.
