One of the Gold Coast’s most loved events has been expanded to four different locations.
The annual SeaFire spectacular will be held at the Surfers Paradise foreshore as usual on May 31, as well as in Broadbeach, the Broadwater Parklands, and at HOTA.
The decision to expand the fireworks show is to help protect the Surfers foreshore as it continues to recover from the severe erosion caused by Cyclone Alfred.
Mayor Tom Tate says Gold Coasters will be able to see the show from any of the four vantage points.
“The modified event means that Gold Coasters will be able to see the same amazing fireworks display without risking further damage to our beaches which are still recovering from Tropical Cyclone Alfred,” Mayor Tate says.
“The four different locations means that you can still enjoy a waterside view while watching the spectacular fireworks.”
“Grab your family and head to one of the viewing sites for the 18-minute display, beginning at all locations at 7pm.”
The fireworks will showcase the two international competitors Belgium and USA culminating with the Australian fireworks finale.
The event kicks off at 7pm on Saturday 31 May, 2025.
