Dozens of firefighters have battled a massive blaze at a home in Ormeau.

Emergency Crews rushed to the property on Benson Street around 10am following multiple triple-zero calls from neighbours.

Plumes of thick black smoke was seen billowing from the single-storey home with the property “well involved” in flames.

Part of the roof has collapsed.

Paramedics are also on the scene, however, thankfully all residents escaped uninjured and there are no reported injuries.

Five fire crews managed to bring the blaze under control by around 10.35am.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
