Residents of a Gold Coast home have been confronted by knife-wielding thieves in a terrifying home invasion in Mermaid Waters.
Three males forced their way into the home on Winch Court around 2.30am on Tuesday.
One of the males was armed with a small knife and threatened the occupants of the home.
The trio then stole several personal possessions from the home before taking off in the occupants’ grey Nissan Murano station wagon.
The vehicle has since been found abandoned in Crestmead.
No one was physically injured during the break-in.
Investigations are continuing.
