The Gold and Tweed Coasts are now once again in the same time zone with daylight saving ending this morning.
Residents south of the border have turned their clocks back one hour and will remain on that time for the winter months until daylight saving resumes on October 2.
It will no doubt be a relief for businesses located along the border in Coolangatta-Tweed, who often trade longer hours during daylight saving to cater for people in both states.
Most smartphone devices and computers automatically adjust the time, however analogue clocks need to be manually moved back an hour in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and the ACT.
Queensland has long debated whether to join in on daylight saving, but Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk ruled it out two years ago saying the issue is too divisive.
