Early voting centres for the upcoming Queensland election will swing open their doors today.
The Electoral Commission of Queensland has confirmed that two pre-polling stations will operate in each of the city’s 11 electorates.
This election, hours have been extended to 8am to 6pm for the entire two weeks of pre-poll, allowing Gold Coasters plenty of time to cast their ballot ahead of election day on October 26.
Residents are reminded that early voting centres are only open Monday to Friday, from October 14-18 and October 21-25.
