Power has now been restored to all Gold Coast homes and businesses following Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
It follows a mammoth effort by crews from Energex and Ergon over the last week.
At the height of the drama, there were more than 130,000 properties that had power cut off after Alfred swept through the Gold Coast.
Energex pledged to restore all power by Sunday night and they delivered.
Energex reported some secondary power issues still being resolved in Springbrook but cyclone-related power outages had been fixed.
“We’re very tired, immensely proud and endlessly humbled,” Energex posted on social media.
“We’ve seen extraordinary graciousness and patience, kindness and tenacity from hundreds of thousands of Queenslanders who were enduring the shock of a once-in-50-year disaster; many struggling with vulnerable family members, some with damage to their homes, and pretty much all without power for long, long days and nights.
