Almost 1000 homes and businesses are without power after an outage in Surfers Paradise.
The outage is impacting customers in the vicinity of Northcliffe Terrace, Garfield Terrace and Old Burleigh Rd.
Nearby streets including Wharf Rd, Fern St and Thornton St are also affected.
The outage has also impacted several sets of traffic lights in the area including along the Gold Coast Highway.
Energex has advised that emergency repairs are currently underway.
The company has not given a timeframe for when power will be restored.
