Police are on the hunt for a man following a brazen daylight robbery in Broadbeach, where a woman was assaulted and had her handbag stolen.
The 45-year-old woman was leaving a toilet cubicle in Pratten Park near the intersection with Margaret Avenue around 11am yesterday when she was approached by a man.
He demanded her handbag, before yanking her hair forcing her backwards and causing her to fall to the floor.
The woman fled, abandoning the handbag.
The man is described as Caucasian, 40-45 years old with a medium build, scruffy, a week old facial hair, dark short hair with some grey and was wearing a chequered red shirt and jeans.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a man matching this description in and around the Pratten Park area between 10am and 12 midday yesterday.
Investigations continue.
