Police probe stolen car fire at Pacific Pines

A manhunt is underway after a stolen car was allegedly torched on the Gold Coast.

The silver 2006 BMW sedan was dumped along Loyalty Street in Pacific Pines around 10pm on Tuesday and set alight.

The vehicle was found fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived on scene, but firies were able to douse it pretty quickly.

Police have confirmed the BMW was stolen from Mermaid Waters on Sunday between 9am – 11.20am.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with CCTV or dashcam vision of the vehicle between Sunday to Tuesday to come forward.
