Police probe separate crashes in busy night across Gold Coast

Police have confirmed they are investigating two separate crashes on the Gold Coast overnight.

A ute and car collided along Dreamworld Parkway in Helensvale around 9pm, with the crash causing damage to a set of traffic lights.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Earlier in the evening, a grey Mazda 3 lost control while travelling along Dewberry Way in Gaven.

The vehicle left the road before crashing, with the 18-year-old female driver also managing to escape injury.

The young woman is now assisting police with investigations.
