Investigations are underway after a stolen vehicle was found engulfed in flames on the Gold Coast.

The vehicle was set alight along Captain Cook Drive in Arundel around 12.45am.

Fire crews raced to the scene after receiving multiple triple zero calls, finding the vehicle fully engulfed upon arrival.

Captain Cook Drive had to be closed for around 45 minutes while crews worked to extinguish the flames.

Police have confirmed the blaze is being treated as suspicious.

The vehicle had been stolen from a home in Labrador earlier in the evening.
