Police have confirmed they’re investigating a ferocious car fire at a home in Ormeau in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to a house on Vaughan Drive around 4.30am, following reports of a Mercedes Benz vehicle on fire in the driveway.
Upon arrival, fire crews managed to extinguish the blaze which caused significant damage to the Mercedes and partial damage to a second vehicle, a VW Amarok.
It’s understood part of the home also suffered fire damage in the inferno, however thankfully no one was injured.
A crime scene has been declared while police continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
