Two men have been charged over a brawl in Surfers Paradise that saw a police officer knocked unconscious.
Officers were called to a disturbance involving around five people out the front of a night club on Orchid Avenue just before midnight.
A 21-year-old Coomera man allegedly struck a Senior Constable in the back of the head, rendering him unconscious.
While another Senior Constable suffered facial injuries.
Both male officers aged in their forties were taken to hospital and have since been discharged.
The 21-year-old Coomera man was charged with one count of serious assault police and one count of obstruct police. He will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday, May 3.
A 43-year-old Doolandella man was charged with one count of obstruct police and one count of public nuisance. He will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday May 3.
Both were issued with a banning notice from the Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach Safe Night Precincts.
