Police have made a shock discovery following a crash on the Pacific Motorway overnight.
A 31-year-old woman is accused of ploughing a Hyundai Elantra into the back of a B-Double truck northbound at Yatala around 11.30pm.
According to police, the woman’s demeanor prompted a search of the vehicle, with officers finding a quantity of amphetamine and a flick knife inside.
The Southport woman was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous drug and one count each of driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence, driving under the influence, unlawful possession of a weapon.
She is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old man, thankfully managed to escape uninjured.
Police are probing whether the vehicle involved was stolen.
Investigations continue.
