Three teens have been charged after a stolen car chase across the Gold Coast that has left three Police vehicles damaged.
The Volkswagen Amarok was spotted on the Gold Coast Highway in Miami around 11.20pm on Thursday.
It was tracked for some time across several suburbs before tyre spikes were deployed at Mermaid Waters.
Despite the vehicle’s tyres deflating, the vehicle continued for some time before officers took tactical action, using their patrol cars to bring the Amarok to a stop.
The three occupants of the stolen car fled but were arrested a short time later.
Police have since charged an 18-year-old Pepper Hill man with three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of obstruct Police and trespass.
He was refused bail and was due to front Southport Magistrates Court on Friday.
A 17-year-old Holmview boy has been charged with enter dwelling and commit, dangerous operation of a vehicle, evade, obstruct police, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 15-year-old Labrador boy has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, obstruct police.
Both teens were also refused bail and were due to front Southport Childrens Court on Friday.
Police have confirmed the Amarok was stolen from an address in Arundel on Monday night.
