A manhunt is underway for the driver of a stolen car that allegedly struck a pedestrian on the Gold Coast before fleeing the scene.
Police allege the white Ford Ranger was reversing out of a carpark on Wundowie Street in Nerang around 5.30pm on Tuesday, when it hit a 51-year-old man.
“The driver of the Ranger continued south on Wundowie Street and failed to remain on scene,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle involved is believed to have been stolen from Reedy Creek on Saturday, June 15.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the incident or the moments leading up to it, to come forward.
