Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit by a 4WD at Logan Village in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency crews were called to Hotz Road around 4.40am following reports a man who was lying on the road had been struck by a vehicle.

The driver of the 4WD stopped and rendered assistance to the man before contacting police.

Despite the efforts of the driver and paramedics, the man could not be revived and died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit has begun investigations into the incident and are appealing for dashcam or any witnesses.

Hotz Road is closed at the incident site between Bobermien Road and Gayle Court.
