Police appeal after Logan house destroyed in ferocious blaze

A home in Logan has been completely destroyed after a ferocious blaze tore through the property early this morning.

Emergency crews were called to the home along Myra Street in Kingston around 2.30am, following reports a house was “fully engulfed by flames”.

Police have confirmed the house was unoccupied at the time with mystery surrounding what may have sparked the inferno.

“A crime scene has been set up and investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire,” Queensland Police said.

“At this early stage in the investigation, it is still undetermined whether there are any suspicious circumstances”.

Officers are urging nearby residents to check their CCTV and to report anything that they believe could help with the investigation.
