A stolen car has narrowly missed running down pedestrians in the heart of Surfers Paradise after the driver allegedly mounted the footpath.
The terrifying scenes unfolded along Cavill Avenue on Sunday night, forcing locals and holidaymakers to run for their lives.
In the shocking vision that has emerged online this morning, tourists can be seen only narrowly escaping the LDV wagon as it speeds down the walkway.
Screams can also be heard from shocked onlookers as the car continues to drive on the wrong side of the road, colliding with a parked vehicle and another car stuck in traffic.
Fortunately, no one was physically injured.
Police have confirmed the vehicle involved had been stolen from an address in Surfers Paradise around 8.30pm on Sunday.
The two occupants remain on the run, with a manhunt now underway.
Police are urging witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward as investigations continue.
