Peak hour traffic gridlock after four cars collide on M1

A multi-vehicle crash is causing chaos for motorists on the Pacific Motorway this afternoon.

Four cars collided southbound at Coomera just before 2.30pm on Tuesday.

Three people are currently being treated at the scene by paramedics for various injuries, however, they are believed to be stable.

It’s understood Queensland Ambulance crews came across the crash while travelling along the M1 this afternoon.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area, or to allow for extra travel time, with traffic currently back past Ormeau.

At least one lane is blocked.
