Around 140 passengers are being evacuated from a train that has become stranded on the Gold Coast line.
The train came to a halt at Mt Warren Park near Yatala just before 3pm.
A tree branch came down on overhead powerlines at Ormeau, cutting power to the train line.
Dozens of emergency service personnel are currently on hand assisting with the evacuation.
The incident has happened in searing heat with temperatures of 34 degrees recorded across the region today.
