Pair injured, man charged after car collides with fence

A man and woman have been injured after a car crashed into a fence in Elanora.

Witnesses report the vehicle was travelling at speed when it lost control on Angelica St just after 7.30pm on Monday.

The car careered into the fence causing serious damage.

The man and woman in their 30s were assessed on the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.

The pair was later taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

The man has since been issued with a notice to appear in court for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
