Put the champagne on ice, because the Gold Coast could soon be getting its very own version of the popular reality series The Real Housewives.
Fans have gone wild since rumours of the possible new instalment started swirling overnight.
Controversial gossip Instagram account Celeb Spellcheck broke the news after spotting a sneaky hint in a piece of promotional material released by Australian streaming site Hayu.
Hayu was promoting its “new and upcoming” shows when they let not one, but two potential new series slip.
“New and Original Australian reality series like the Real Housewives of the Gold Coast and Million Dollar Listing: Sydney,” Hayu wrote.
If the Gold Coast version is legit, it would be the second spin-off for the franchise after The Real Housewives of Sydney got the axe after just one season.
The original Real Housewives of Melbourne was a bigger hit with fans, running for five seasons.
Hayu is yet to officially confirm the news.
