A prominent bikie boss has been arrested on the Gold Coast over several alleged breaches of a Serious Crime Prevention Order.
The Comancheros President was taken into custody at a Benowa Waters home around 6.30am following extensive investigations by the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad, Taskforce Maxima, and National Anti-Gangs Squad.
The 35-year-old was taken to Southport Watchhouse, where NSW detectives will apply for his extradition this afternoon.
Police allege he has contravened his Serious Crime Prevention Order (SCPO) by not providing the full address of his temporary accommodation, not providing an intended return date to his primary residence, and possessing/using a communication device with encrypted message capabilities.
The prominent bikie boss was issued the SCPO by the Supreme Court on July 1, 2022.
It’s understood to be one of the strictest orders to be placed on a person in NSW.
“An SCPO may contain such prohibitions, restrictions, requirements and other provisions as the court considers appropriate for the purpose of protecting the public by preventing, restricting or disrupting involvement by a person in serious crime related activities,” a NSW Police statement reads.
“As part of ongoing SCPO compliance operations, Criminal Groups Squad detectives identified several suspected breaches, and commenced an investigations under Strike Force Phobetor-Harmonia.”
A number of items were seized during the arrest, which will undergo further forensic examination.
