A man has been charged with murder following the brutal death of a man in Tamborine Mountain.
37-year-old Matthew Berry was found dead inside his home on Tolima Drive one week ago today, on June 29.
The father-of-two had suffered fatal head and upper-body injuries in what police labelled a violent scene.
His former partner made the grim discovery.
This morning, detectives laid charges against a 36-year-old Paradise Point man, who police say was a long-time friend of the victim.
The accused will front Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
