A mountain bike rider has been airlifted to hospital following a nasty crash in Currumbin.
Emergency services rushed to Currumbin Creek Road around 4.30pm on Tuesday after receiving reports a man had been injured.
Upon arrival, they found a man in his 50s in nearby bushland with suspected spinal injuries.
He was helped out and taken to a nearby football field, where a rescue helicopter landed to take him to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the man was transported in a serious condition.
