LATEST @ 5.15PM There are grave fears being held for a person critically injured in a horror crash in the hinterland.
Emergency Services rushed to the scene in Tamborine, after a truck and car collided just before 4pm.
It happened at the intersection of Beaudesert Beenleigh Road at Mundoolun Connection Road.
The motorist, who’s age and gender is not yet known, was entrapped in the vehicle.
A QFES team worked to free the patient, before being treated by paramedics at the scene.
A rescue helicopter was initially tasked to the scene, but was turned back.
There are significant traffic delays, with motorists being urged to avoid the area.

EARLIER @ 4.30PM Emergency Services are on the scene of a serious traffic crash in the hinterland’s Tamborine this afternoon.
A truck and car collided on Beaudesert Beenleigh Road at Mundoolun Connection Road just before 4pm.
A QAS spokesperson confirmed a rescue helicopter has been tasked to the incident and is on its way.
Meanwhile a crew of Paramedics are currently on the scene, but they’re unable to confirm how many patients they’re treating or what their conditions are at this time.
QFES have three crews on scene assisting with the incident, while Queensland Police are also attending the crash.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area, with significant delays expected.
