A motorbike rider has been left fighting for life after crashing with a car in Ashmore.
The 45-year-old was travelling on Southport Nerang Road near Cran Street just after 9pm when the collision happened.
He suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital
He remains in a critical condition.
The 18-year-old female driver of the car was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
