It’s been an expensive day out for one Gold Coast driver who crashed a luxury sports car in Hope Island.
The orange McLaren, worth about half a million dollars, was travelling along Hope Island Road around midday on Thursday when it lost control on a round-about.
The vehicle then took out a street sign before ploughing into a concrete wall outside Hope Island resort.
The high-powered car was significantly damaged, but thankfully no one was seriously injured.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the cause of the crash.
