Police are working to identify a body found in the Broadwater on the weekend.
A jetski instructor came across the body floating in the water near Main Beach around 2pm on Saturday.
The body of the male was later recovered by Water Police.
Police say they are yet to work out who the man is.
“No one has come forward reporting a recent missing person so we’re conducting inquiries through our missing persons unit to try and identify them,” Superintendent Mark Mooney told the ABC.
“None of our forensics have come back so the person is obviously not known to Police.
“It could be a tourist or an international student so we’re still making inquiries.”
