Police are on the hunt for three firebugs after a Helensvale business was set alight overnight.

The trio used bats to smash through the windows of a Siganto Drive business just before 11pm on Tuesday night, before lighting a blaze inside using an accelerant.

The men fled into a white vehicle, which was driven south before continuing north along the M1.

The blaze was quickly extinguished by firefighters, with the business sustaining just smoke damage.

Thankfully the fire didn’t impact neighbouring properties.
