Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to following a shooting in Helensvale.
They’re appealing for Daniel Todd, a 34-year-old Moorooka man, to contact them.
A 19-year-old man was injured in the shooting at Helensvale Plaza shopping centre on Sir John Overall Drive on Monday night.
Just before 6.20pm, the teen arrived in the centre carpark in a stolen white 2022 Skoda Kamiq, in convoy with a group travelling in a stolen grey 2016 Mercedes Benz.
The 19-year-old exited the Skoda and was standing in the carpark when he received a gun-shot wound to his elbow.
It’s alleged that shooter fled the scene in a White Nissan Qashqai, which has since been recovered.
The Skoda has also since been recovered, but a search continues to find the Mercedes.
The 19-year-old was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police urge anyone who sights Daniel to not approach him and call Triple 0 immediately.
