Man suffers serious injury following Gold Coast M1 smash

A nasty crash on the Pacific Motorway in the early hours of this morning has landed a man in hospital.

Two cars collided just after 2.30am at Coomera, with the impact causing one of the cars to flip and rollover.

Paramedics including the High Acuity Response Unit rushed to the scene, assessing three people in total.

A man in his 30s sustained a head injury and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Two other stable patients declined further treatment or transport.
