A man has been rushed to hospital following a horror smash on the M1 on the northern Gold Coast.
Two cars collided southbound at the Exit 49 Pimpama off-ramp just before 3pm, causing major traffic delays.
The man in his 20s has suffered a significant head injury and has been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The crash has caused lengthy delays for motorists, with traffic at a standstill currently back to Eagleby.
There’s also been a minor crash northbound in Pimpama which is also causing minor delays.
