A man is in a serious condition following a workplace incident in Surfers Paradise.
The man suffered significant burns to his face in the accident around 1.40pm this afternoon.
He is believed to have been cooking a meal when it blew up in his face.
It is not yet known what type of appliance he was using.
Critical Care Paramedics attended the incident and rushed the man to Gold Coast University Hospital.
