A man has suffered significant burns in a nasty fire pit accident on the Gold Coast.
It’s understood the man was trying to light the fire when it exploded at a home in Currumbin Valley just before 9.30pm on Tuesday.
The man, aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene by paramedics for burns to his face and legs.
He was then taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he is continuing to undergo treatment.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the man was transported in a stable condition.
