A man has been rushed to hospital following a nasty incident involving a battery on the Gold Coast overnight.
It happened at a home in Coomera around 7.30pm.
The man, aged in his 40s, suffered burns to his hands, legs and abdominal area after a battery exploded.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed he was transported in a stable condition.
