Man stabbed during Gold Coast home invasion

A crime scene has been established at a home in Surfers Paradise after a break and enter resulted in a man being stabbed.

Emergency services were called to a residence on Adori Street around 11pm on Sunday following reports of a break and enter.

When they arrived, they found the male occupant with a stab wound to the thigh. He’s since been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.

Queensland Police said the offenders, who are not known, are believed to have left the scene on foot and they remain on the run.

Investigators are now appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, or anyone with information that may be able to assist, to come forward.
