A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition following an alleged assault on the Gold Coast early this morning.
The man, aged in his 30s, was allegedly attacked with a hammer at a home in Mermaid Waters around 3am on Tuesday.
The man suffered significant head injuries, as well as stab wounds to both arms in the incident.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
No arrests have been made, with police investigations ongoing.
