A man has suffered serious head injuries following an alleged assault in Southport.
Police and paramedics were called to the Meriton Apartments on Como Crescent just before 7am on Thursday.
The male was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson has confirmed to MyGC that officers remain on the scene as investigations into the assault continue.
Newscorp reports the alleged victim is a senior member of the Comancheros bikie gang.
