A man has been rushed to hospital after reportedly falling out of a car on the Pacific Motorway.
Emergency crews were called to the M1 southbound at the Smith Street off-ramp around 5am.
Upon arrival, they found a man in his 20s suffering significant head injuries.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC the High Acuity Response Unit was on board for transport.
Police have confirmed they are investigating.
